I’ve been attending weekly Yoga class at YOGA MITRA for about a year. It started when I was introduced to Ying yoga to help release stiffness on my shoulder and lower back. Due to my job nature as a professional makeup artist, the right side of my body is more stiff and often resulted in stiff shoulder and lower back ache. Alignment class by Henry helps me to understand my own posture and area that required attention. He also introduce simple stretching exercise I can do daily on my own at home to help to ease the affected joints and muscle groups that I need to strengthen. During class, our postures also cater to our individual ability, it’s encouraging and supporting rather than trying to perfect each pose. YOGA MITRA is always clean and constantly upgrading its “tools” to assist students to progress, I’m always surprise with new “toys”. During class, one can enjoy relaxing music, soothing aroma, regulated temperature. I definitely benefited from the classes and had recommended few friends to join me whom are all benefiting too.

I liked yoga exercises as it helps to increase muscle mass. Having a healthy body makes me feel great.
My body is more toned and leaner after practicing yoga.
As classes at YOGA MITRA are conducted with small no. of attendees, Yoga instructors there, like teacher Su Mei n teacher Henry, whom I have attended both their classes, are able to give the attention each student/attendee needs.
I liked the location as it is within walking distance from Lavender MRT station, if you are driving, parking rates are affordable; HDB parking rates.

I am having a lower back pain problem for quite sometimes. Always having difficulties to squat down and sometimes even sitting on the floor is challenging. Thankful that I’ve met Yoga Mitra. 瑜伽这个名詞的在我小時候已听闻直到2019年在公司听同事在分享有位瑜伽老師在教大家学习。到了2020年一場流行性Covid 19 让全国人民不能出门辦工全国人民被宅家工作, 当時一位女同事告訴我可以參與她们的网上瑜伽課程於是便联絡了YOGA MITRA主班人Henry Chan开始了瑜珈練習。 剛开始不是很習慣, 一直到了疫情放緩后便正式到課室上課, 此時此刻才感覺到有導師的指引和网上学習是很大的不同。后來每星期锻煉一次正規瑜伽, 慢慢的提升了每位学员的身心合一的基本訓導让我感覺到胫胳, 关結肌肉拉伸, 尤其髖关节脊髓拉伸。 平衡術受益良多, 更让我学習到一切不能硬学硬拉, 必須放鬆身心适度拉伸按压才能強身健保精神換發。有了这基本功会使我身体起着明顯的改變, 下來的歲月是不会放棄这宝貴的瑜伽鍛鍊的習慣了!

Yoga lessons are for all ages. Myself age of 62, I enjoy and looking forward for next continuation lesson after each exercise at YOGA MITRA. During my first class at YOGA MITRA, I am able to do the hand stand.
