WHY YOGA?

Living in a fast-paced society and taking on multiple roles and responsibilities in work, family and personal life has taken a toll on our physical and mental well-being. The pandemic has also resulted in many of us working from home and maintaining a work-life balance becomes a challenge. The stress of daily life can contribute to many health problems such as high blood pressure, diabetes, depression, constipation, shoulder and knee pain.

Some people are afraid to attend yoga as they may experience pain and aches during and after class. However, as long as the pain is tolerable and it is not a sharp pain, it is good to stretch the body as it helps to maintain a range of motion in the joints, thereby lessening the risk for joint pain, strains and muscle damage.

As human lifespan increases, it is important that we look after our health so that we can live a long, independent and fulfilling life. Why not take the first step now, make self-care a priority and take care of your well-being?
